Let’s just acknowledge that fact that I broke my blogging streak by NOT blogging on Wednesday. It’s okay though because I am back and ready to get down to
While I’ve loved getting back into blogging with the help of the Blogtember prompts, today I’ve decided to change course just a bit and link up to some Friday Favorites instead. After all, these are some of my favorite blogs to read so I figure, why not write one, too!
I’m going to NYC!!! Y’all, this trip has been a long time coming! I’ve dreamt about visiting the Big Apple for years and I’m finally going to see what the hustle and bustle is all about in person! The trip will be short and sweet, with me being there from November 12th to 15th. I’m not sure I could handle being away from my babies for much longer than that. This is the FIRST mommy trip I will have taken in well….ever! No hubby, no kids, just me and a couple of friends. While I do have a bit of anxiety about leaving my crew, I know it is just what I need to recharge my battery!
Cross Body Bags
Obviously, now that I’m going to be visiting NYC, I’ve got to get my wardrobe and accessories in check. While I am trying to keep my new clothes shopping to a minimum, one of my must-haves is a cross-body bag. Pretty much everyone I’ve talked to about what to bring has mentioned this first thing. While I tend to stick more to neutrals like black and brown, I’m kind of loving the maroon purse as a way to add in some subtle color.
Kid Fresh Meals
My third child is a picky eater. Okay, probably not as picky as some kids(he will eat some veggies) but compared to my older two, he is definitely picky. One day he loves something, the next day he acts as if it’s the worst thing he has ever tasted and throws it on the floor. I cannot figure his taste buds out. However, I’ve gotten lucky with these Kid Fresh meals and he has gobbled them down every single time I have served them to him. Thank goodness! While they do come frozen, I’m not considering them processed because just look how good that ingredient list is.
I begged my kids to be sprinkled donuts for Halloween(they were 40% off at Target!) but as you can tell from the looks on their faces they were having nothing to do with it. Maybe I can talk Lance into dressing up with me because I mean, DONUTS!! There is seriously nothing better, even in costume form! Instead, I’m pretty sure I am getting an inflatable sumo wrestler, Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and whatever I decide to make little man dress up as. Target had a cute little monkey costume(which is incredibly fitting for him) but now I’m thinking he needs to be a lion to match his sister. Oh, the dilemna!
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pumpkins
Speaking of Halloween, aren’t the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups just so much better when they are in pumpkin form. I think it’s the chocolate to peanut butter ratio but oh man, they are delicious. I have a new bag that I just put in the freezer last night. Any bets as to how long they will be in there? With five chocolate peanut butter lovers in my house, I’m guessing not long!
Tell me what you are loving right now?!
