I’m excited because tonight, I’m heading to our local movie theater with several of my mom friends to watch Bad Mom’s Christmas. I have yet to see the first Bad Moms movie but I’ve heard that it is absolutely hilarious and from the previews I’ve seen, it is going to be a good time. Plus, I get to hang out with some of my girl gang and that is always a win!
Before we move on to my Friday favorites, I just want to acknowledge the Veterans who have served our country so proudly and bravely. Please know that I am eternally grateful for your service and sacrifice!!
Every Fall, we have our family photos taken and use them to personalize our Christmas cards. I’ll be honest and say that as much as I love having the moment in time captured on film, family pictures stress me out BIG TIME! Between the coordination of the outfits and begging everyone to cooperate and look at the camera (with a smile)it can be hard work. However, the outcome is almost always worth it. I especially love looking back years later and reminiscing about how little the kids were and the shenanigans that went down.
Here is a little peek at this years session….
Nordstrom Fall Sale
I don’t do a ton of shopping at Nordstrom because while I adore their clothes, sometimes they can be a bit out of my budget. However, when they have sales, they quickly become affordable for almost everyone! I found some super cute options that would be perfect additions to your own wardrobe or as a perfect Christmas gift. I shared some of my favorite sale items in the “Favorites” tab at the top of my blog if you want to check it out. Fair warning though, you’d better hurry because the sale ends on 11/12!!
This must have (and very popular) tunic is on the list…….
I ordered this super cute and fun scarf in grey and I just know I will get a ton of use out of it this Fall/Winter season!
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to really embrace the Fall season by going back to my roots. My darker hair roots, that is! I tend to go lighter in the Spring/Summer(although, I may not anymore) and my hair was feeling really washed out from all of the sun, heat, and swimming from the warmer months. I have to say, I am in love with what the darker hair has done for me! Not only does my hair feel soooo much softer, healthy and manageable but it really has brightened my face as well. In picture, my eyes stand out and it’s just more flattering to my skin tone, overall. Now, if my hair would just grow, Id be a happy camper. My hair used to grow at super speed but it’s really slowed down over the last few years.
Tyler Glamour Wash Laundry Detergent
I was watching a story on Instagram and Courtney from A Life From Scratch was giving this detergent ALL the love. She pretty much said that it smelled so good that she actually looked forward to doing the laundry. Now, we know that laundry and enjoyable do NOT mix so she had me pretty darn intrigued. Enough so that I took to Amazon and bought a fairly small 32 oz bottle for $24.50. Say WHAT?
When this detergent arrived two days later (Thanks, Prime!), I was so excited to throw in a load of wash to see what all of the hype was about. I’ll be honest, at first smell I was hesitant because its concentrated and REALLY strong-smelling. However, once my laundry was washed and dried, it just left a very pleasant, smell good scent! Not only does the laundry smell good but the laundry room and surrounding areas smell good, too but not in an overwhelming way. Suffice it to say, I’m a fan!
I do recommend just using a capful per load as that seemed to do the trick for me. I just added in one capful along with my regular detergent and it mixed really nicely. Since the detergent is a bit pricey, I will most likely just use it for my towels, bed linens and the occasional load of regular laundry. If you try it out, let me know what you think!
